Bowie Croisant Ceramic Artist Weblog. Gallery (2007 BFA Show). Here are some images of work from my BFA exhibition from Kansas State in spring of 2007. At the bottom of this page you may view my artist statment as it applied to this body of work. I have begun to satisfy my desire to create quality forms and have hence been inspired to work through a series of more experimental and elaborately constructed work. These pieces represent an embodiment of energy and the growth of my self as an artist.

Elif Ozbay: August 2010
http://elifozbay-ceramics.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 31 August 2010. I was hoping to finalize the project till the end of september but I realized that, as of this weekend, just one out of third is completed. Therefore, a bit of disprited, I went into my studio yesterday. and instead of trying something new, I decided to use some of my former knowledge on surface design which mostly I have learnt in workshops. I am quite happy with these funny little ones, they are about 15 cm high. and looking like turtles. don't you agree? Monday, 9 August 2010.

http://elifozbay-ceramics.blogspot.com/2011/04/cuerda-seca-prints-on-porcelain-raku_27.html
Wednesday, 27 April 2011. Cuerda seca, prints on porcelain, raku. The fact that I'm not good at keeping this blog up-to-date lately doesn't mean that I'm not doing anything about ceramics. on the contrary, last couple of weeks I worked a lot. I am still struggling to learn more about surface design, hoping to find a way that I will like and will be good at. I have learnt the tecnique "cuerda seca". I started to throw again. and I am so happy. 29 April 2011 at 10:25. 3 May 2011 at 16:13. Crea il tuo badge.
Idea for new project/career: Ceramic Cremation PORTRAIT Urns | Tapp!*!*!
https://rubytapp.wordpress.com/2009/01/14/idea-for-new-projectcareer-ceramic-cremation-portrait-urns
January 14, 2009} Idea for new project/career: Ceramic Cremation PORTRAIT Urns. I think the last time that I posted on here was in college. It’s time for an update, I think! So, I’ve been thinking about what I want to do with my life and career. I love making portraits in different mediums, but my most unique medium is underglaze on fired clay. I just want some feedback on this idea and see what you all think about the possible demand for urns with hand-painted portraits. January 17, 2009 at 2:56 am.
Mat's Ceramics: September 2010
http://matsceramics.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 24, 2010. Posted by Matthew Sanna. 0 feel free to comment. Links to this post. I enjoy Marbling clay and then throwing it because it has a different result every time. Although each piece looks the same, they all have a different pattern. The surface decoration in this work is very spontaneous and definately follows the form. The form has a bulbous form that tapers into a thin neck which is then distorted. Glazed inside and out and taken to 1080°C. Posted by Matthew Sanna. A day in clay.

I have found myself continually returning to the idea of cumulative information, asking myself questions such as, how can information reveal itself through repetitive process? 148; Perhaps more importantly, before those ideas, I am seeking to understand my personal encounter with material from a fundamental perspective. What happens when I touch clay? What should I do with it? And how does it operate as a means of recording action? SHARE THIS PAGE WITH OTHERS:.
