The Art in Life. Color Habit. Quirk. I carry your heart with me. Chuck and Amanda →. My husband is not my soul mate. July 22, 2013. It might seem odd that on this, our one-year anniversary, I am beginning a post with the declaration that my husband is not my soul mate. But he isn’t. But I reject the entire premise of soul mates. Do you remember those awesome Evangelical 90’s/ early 2000’s where Jesus was kind of like our boyfriend and we all kissed dating good-bye. Also for the record, I actually think a...

All I Really Need to Know…. Musings on my knees in the dirt. All I Really Need to Know…. All I Really Need to Know I Learned in my Garden. 1 There is a Creator. And it’s not me. 2 Death is necessary for Life. 3 No season lasts forever. 4 Not everything can blossom where it’s planted. 5 When harmful bugs are plenty, expect many butterflies as well. 6 A turnip will never grow from a lettuce seed. 7 A weed is only a matter of perspective. 8 The only way to prevent growth is to stop life. Further up and farther in. Here you are; you rescue us from our wretched meanderings and establish us on your way; you console us and bid us, 'Run: I will carry you, I will lead you and I will bring you home.' " -St Augustine. Monday, August 28, 2006. This is Jacob's latest project. With a little backing from his dad, the first Landrover is ready to ship from the UK to the US (soon, he adds). This is a market tester for a possible (serious) business. We'll see where it goes. Links to this post. We also h...

Friday, February 3, 2012. Road trip part six: the ozarks! After that we had some more beautiful adventures! We took scenic byway 7 into the mountains and stopped a lot to look around. One of the routes Google told us to use was to go through this road.which was covered with swiftly rushing water. Jared scared the kids by telling them we were going to try to attempt it. We spent much of the afternoon taking a 2 mile hike. 2 miles is a lot with 3 kids, a toddler, and a baby, but it was worth it. We made it...

Sunday, July 12, 2009. An amazing road to recovery. I love each and every one of you and am incredibly glad that you are all alive too:) Sorry, but I do think that I have the right to be cheezy;). We went to the rivah the day after the accident where it was a perfect place for me to recover with my mom and dad being there and a beautiful place to sit and breathe in the fresh river air and soak in the beauty of the sunsets. It is this gor...
