Bookworm Vagabond: February 2015
http://bookwormvagabond.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2015. Weekends in Hong Kong. As much as I love my job here in Hong Kong, I still look forward to the weekend with my friends like any normal human being. While Hong Kong has a lot to offer every night of the week, I'm a bit of a homebody on weeknights partially because of my hermit tendencies and partially because of my early teaching schedule. I save my madness for the weekend. Friday night family hotpot to get the weekend started right. Across the Iron Man house.
Bookworm Vagabond: Camping on Grass Island
http://bookwormvagabond.blogspot.com/2015/04/camping-on-grass-island.html
Saturday, April 18, 2015. Camping on Grass Island. In Hong Kong, there are loads of islands and remote beaches where you can go camping, and a few weeks ago, I went with some friends to explore one island in particular- Grass Island. Our initial plan was to rent kayaks to get out there, but when we realized a kayak tournament meant they were all rented, we caught a ferry out to Tap Mun (Grass Island) from Sai Kung. Our camping crew for the weekend. The docks at Tap Mun. Right near the water on Tap Mun.

Monday, January 19, 2015. Look, life here is good; can you blame me? In the meantime, where to next? Links to this post. Sunday, January 11, 2015. A Mad Week in Vietnam. I’m ticking off Asian nations one by one, and this winter break Vietnam was next in line. I was lucky enough to travel with two good friends, and we decided to spend a week relaxing in Nha Trang, doing a couple nights in a cheap local hotel, and splurging the last three nights with a stay at Novotel. We started our trip in lovely Hanoi.

Sunday, May 31, 2015. Summer Fashion Is Upon Us! Spring is melting into summer here in Hong Kong, and that called for a deep cleaning of my wardrobe as well as a transition to some fun new summer clothes! If you live in Hong Kong, you’ve got to check out ZALORA, an online store. Out for birthday drinks with some girlfriends. Wearing my favorite sheer ZALORA. My favorite one piece from ModCloth-. Looks great with jean shorts and works. As a Minnie Mouse costume in a pinch! Links to this post. Summertime i...

L I V I N Large in Ecuador. I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list. - Susan Sontag. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. We recently took advantage of our close proximity and made our way to one of the New Seven Wonders. Of the World, Machu Picchu. Located in southern Peru, this amazing ancient site was a definitely a "must see" while here in South America. Eventually, we had to get onto a train to take us the rest of the way to Aguas Calientas, the town that sits in the foothills of the mountain that Machu Pi...

Not a great photo, but worth pointing out to all my parent friends that car seats are not a thing here at all:. Yep, that's a baby, just holding on to the window. L I V I N Large in Ecuador. I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list. - Susan Sontag. Sunday, January 27, 2013. For the Flower Lovers. But first, on our way to the garden, we stopped in at the Vivarium. A herpetological research and education center. Basically a snake and reptile house. It was cool, though small, but we did get to hold a Boa Constrictor, which made it well worth the $3 entrance fee! From there we headed off to the Botanical Gardens of Quito. One of the 2 huge orchid greenhouses.

Day 6: Tortuga Bay.

L I V I N Large in Ecuador. I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list. - Susan Sontag. Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Ecuador at its Best - Quilotoa. I took an amazing day trip a few weeks ago to Quilotoa. This spectacular crater lake is a must visit spot for any trip to Ecuador. Spencer got to go with a class trip shortly after we arrived last year so I have been missing out till now. My friend Emily decided to take a visiting friend there on a day trip so I jumped at the chance to tag along. Visitors c...

L I V I N Large in Ecuador. I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list. - Susan Sontag. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. We went to the Mindo Cloud forest this weekend to get out of Quito for a while. It was beautiful and incredibly relaxing and an easy 2 hour bus ride out of the city. We WILL be going back again! Here are some photos. One of the first things we did was take this cable car 500 meters across a canopy. Not the safest thing we've ever done, but it was pretty! I took this video of the ride:.

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Spring Break in the States. I try to make it back to the States once a year, and last year I chose summertime for my return to Florida. Huge mistake! Summertime is the wooorrrssstt when your hometown is basically a swampland on the Gulf of Mexico. To avoid the oppressive summer heat, this year I headed back for spring break. April in Florida is ideal- hot enough for beach days, but not so hot that you burn your feet on the sand. Some Florida thunder clouds rolling in. In Hong Kon...

View my complete profile. Saturday, January 9, 2010. My Soul to Lose, Rachel Vincent. I feel cheated, I really do. I "bought" this book from Amazon and downloaded it to my Kindle app on my iPhone (several, several months ago). I use the term "bought" loosely as it was free. I even got a receipt saying that I would be billed "$0.00". Well, okay, then. I started reading this at 1PM, while at work. In between stocking and waiting on customers. I was finished at 5:30PM. Series. It's but a teasing novella.
