She: Um, hi there, you, um, probably don't know me. Me: Actually, I do. You're A- - - P- - - -, S- - - - 's siister. You had Social Studies with Miss Roger at the same time I had my Latin class. In the End, It's All About the Waitresses - Uninformed Comment

In the End, It's All About the Waitresses - Uninformed Comment. February 7th, 2008. 11:21 am - In the End, It's All About the Waitresses. Now, absolutely everything I invested in last year, including the usually reliable, boring Saskatchewan Pension Plan. Lost money. It hasn't been this bad since I decided the Asian Financial Crisis. Are losing money just as badly as the Unethical ones, so that's out. One of the Daves-I-know. Is really into these Labour Sponsored Investment Funds. Isn't so bad, but the r...

The Return of Roderick and Naomi - Uninformed Comment

The Return of Roderick and Naomi - Uninformed Comment. September 15th, 2007. 07:44 am - The Return of Roderick and Naomi. Someone told me my old picture - the fake "sketch" style thing which cuts off the top of my head - makes me look like "a middle-aged balding lecher" or something like that. I'm not balding, so for the moment we're back to good ol' Roderick Chisholm. Who remains a stock figure of intellectual probity in my world. Also, in case anybody missed it: Naomi Klein.

Where I'm At - Uninformed Comment. July 2nd, 2009. 11:08 pm - Where I'm At. So where I'm at, literally, is in Peterborough, Ontario. It is of course the story of how I got here, and why, that's the telling part. I think it would be cool if I could assign a theme for each year of my life. 2007, for example, was the Year I Didn't Die. Now, I didn't die in 2008 either and 2009 –.

Of Strange Dreams - Uninformed Comment. March 18th, 2008. 10:24 pm - Of Strange Dreams. I am for some reason thinking about that bit in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Where they come across a section of the world where dreams come true. Not dreams as in hopes and aspirations, dreams as in stuff that goes down in your head when you're asleep. Even at a very young age I could tell this was going to be trouble. On an unrelated note, here's Iggy and the Stooges.

On Missing the Fear - Uninformed Comment

On Missing the Fear - Uninformed Comment. June 17th, 2009. 10:35 am - On Missing the Fear. So, according to the news it's official – the swine flu, excuse me, “H1N1” is officially a pandemic. Here in Peterborough, the locals are all paniced-out after SARS and are quite blase. There is absolutely no talk at work about blockading the 401, let alone dynamiting anything. It's all quite disappointing, but it gets me thinking. Rdquo; - just sad, really. The ants are everywhere. And they have a plan.
