If you're ever going to buy me a beer as a surprise, a saison is fool-proof. I love Belgian and Belgian-style ales. This particular one is by Heavy Seas Beer. Aka Clipper City Brewing. This brew is 7.5%, which is great for a saison. Spicy and fruity with cloves. Very definite banana flavor. Earth tones with some wheat and rye. Total: 15/20 - B.
