Friday, January 16, 2009. Things I Love: The Dining Room. My number-one reason for finally making a blog post is so I don't look so lame in people's sidebars when it says my blog was last updated. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Monday, May 19, 2008. Our adorable babies that inhabit the pond behind my apartment. Matt took these awesome pictures. I love the fact that I can just step out on the balcony and watch so many creatures in action. It's like our very own petting zoo! On Saturday, Matt pointed out the baby geese that are also out there! On Sunday, we went to church and then I enjoyed a nice long nap. Oh, how I love naps! Monday, February 28, 2011. One More, Plus, Some Time Off. We got two coats of paint on the master bedroom this week/weekend. Here's a before and after:. What we did: removed 3 kinds of wallpaper, spackled. Sanded, primed, painted 2 coats on the ceiling, and painted 2 coats on the walls of Behr's. It turned out really well. Sunday, March 20, 2011. This week has been.a lot. Horrible. Tragic. Never-ending. Exhausting. Just plain sad. On Monday, the chair of my department- my boss, my friend, a wonderful man- was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He and his family are still making decisions, but it looks like surgery in Ann Arbor in a week, with chemo and radiation to follow. It's the type of emotional. Blow that leaves you physically aching. And the next day, I'll do it again. And again. And again. Poor Me/Snap Out of It!
