Gaming Nookie: October 2005
http://gamingnookie.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 26. Long Time no Post. My last post was a couple of weeks ago. Hot damn. Here's what I've been upto since then:. 1) Went selling in the Malabon/Malinta/Valenzuela area for a company event. We won the event bagging 10,000 PHP. Now to get that prize. Here's a huge tiger statue at our lunching place. 2) Went to New Zealand for a workshop. It was cold, boring and expensive but still a good place to stay for a few years. Here's a sky view of Auckland, from my hotel suite. See how busy I was?

Gaming Nookie: November 2005
http://gamingnookie.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 30. Of measuring instruments, sideways card orientations and random number generators. Before gaming online, we had the real sort of games. Those that needed actual hardware, like dice, cards or miniatures. These are still very much alive, the preferred games of the pioneer geeks that colonized the uncharted territory known as gaming. Veterans are the new buck. Posted by Glenn @ 1:23 PM. 0 wrote about this. Tuesday, November 29. Previously, there was a great magazine for gaming but th...

Gaming Nookie: May 2005
http://gamingnookie.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 17. What a delayed post! Last May 6, me and Allan's Car Contingent of Team Manila went to the Kotei up in the beutiful City of Pines Baguio! I was a judge in the event while the others were going to compete in the Nationals for L5R. Likea lot of gaming places, this was an internet cafe, hobby gaming area and smoking lounge rolled into one. I liked the centralised airconditioning of the entire city. The foolish Khan and Raichu were up all night playtesting so were drained for the Kotei next d...

buhay buhay bagong buhay: August 2008
http://bleuchill.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2008. Welcome to My Life. I had delusions of grandeur, say the least, and opted for a mellow ballad, you know, so I could finish the song without my voice grating. The "What were you thinking? Moment came when instead of bringing in prerecorded music—which is what 95 percent of the class did—I chose to learn its chords on a freaking organ. But life being life, it never is that simple. Warning: Lyrics contain profanity and adult subjects. Sunday, August 24, 2008. Myron, looks like the m...

Friday, March 27, 2009. In these Economic Times. Magazines Drop Like Flies. Wow This is really bad. Since this whole crapfest called the recession started, a handful of magazines that I read have already closed. There's EGM, Plenty, Blender, Best Life, Men's Vogue, and PC Magazine. Other titles I'm familiar with but don't read that've shuttered are O at Home, Radar, Hallmark, Domino as well as a ton of others that although I don't pick up, it still is reflective of the industry I chose to work in. Ryan's...

buhay buhay bagong buhay: December 2008
http://bleuchill.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 26, 2008. The Meaning of Life. As Given by Myron. Inspired by the The Meaning of Life issue of Esquire this January, I came up with my own list.). The best gift you can give your kids is your time. Education comes in at a very close second, but you have to make them pay a part of their college tuition. If I can do anything for the rest of my life, it would be to travel the world. Even if you say you don't care about it,. Loving someone should be close to effortless. I have a friend who's...

buhay buhay bagong buhay: June 2009
http://bleuchill.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 8, 2009. The Good Parent Handbook. Whenever someone I know gets to a fight (or a disagreement) with their parents and confide with me how annoyed they are about how their parents are "immature about it," that is, the parents don't take the apology that their child gives too quickly, I tell them one of my most favorite canned responses: You have to understand, they never got the "How to be a Good Parent" handbook. Silly sounding, yes, but think about it. It makes total sense.

buhay buhay bagong buhay: TV Watch: Running in Heels
http://bleuchill.blogspot.com/2009/04/tv-watch-running-in-heels.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2009. TV Watch: Running in Heels. I'll say it first: Any show that gives other people a glimpse of how it is like to work in my industry will get my attention—the first couple of episodes at least. Running in Heels. Is a reality show (not competition) that chronicles the day-to-day operations of Hearst's Marie Claire. Should be kissing their toes whenever they enter the Hearst towers. (Maybe it's just the editing, but geez do these girls complain way too much, be fucking. There's ano...
