A high performance computation cluster hardware spec is basically of two parts:. Master Node / Control Node. Compute Node / Worker Node. As a pilot project, as compute node we’ve started with a 1U twin server from IBM each with 8 core and 8GB of RAM with high-speed Infiniband network interface alone with Gigabit ethernet network presented by ICTP to initiate.
