Fort Dauphin is a great place for surfing! Ankoba beach (Baie des Gallions) is perfect for beginners and lots of fun for more experienced surfers – it’s just a few minutes walk down the road from our bungalows. Monseigneur bay is also a popular surf and bodyboarding spot. We have 10 surfboards for hire and give lessons at all levels. Giles Crosse, a journalist from the UK, had this to say about his stay with Alefa Madagascar. It was a real pleasure staying here with Kate and Flav. Their home is comfortable, beautiful, well priced and offers a real insight into Malagasy life and the island experience. We had an amazing leaving party too; Malagasy musicians, fun and laughter and a great way to end my stay here.
