Second Lieutenant Lloyd Herbert "Pete" Hughes, Jr. was my uncle. He has always been Uncle Pete to me. He was a B-24D Liberator Pilot in World War II who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. This gathering of photographs, letters, data, and Web links is my memorial to Uncle Pete, an uncle I never knew, but so many people have honored.
