3D Character Animation 2011: Scenes 3 and 4
http://luke3dcharacteranimation.blogspot.com/2011/04/scene-3.html
3D Character Animation 2011. Thursday, 14 April 2011. Scenes 3 and 4. The next two scenes are a continuation from the scene 2. Although I split the two scenes up in relation to 3 DS. Max files the storyline remains very similar with the animations also nearly identical. The camera in this scene is a close up of the character on the ball. The camera does not follow the character up and down it simple stays stationary for the viewers to see the events unfold. The lighting remains the same with the omni.

3D Character Animation: January 2011
http://3dcharacteranimationtom.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, 30 January 2011. Pigham Model Step By Step Creation. Here is a quick step by step process of how I created my model:. First I started off with a capsule shape. To make life simple for myself, I cut the capsule in half and applied a symmetry modifier to it. I then used the Extruder tool to create the ears. To create the inside of the ears, I used the Inset tool, and then extruded the newly formed polygon inwards. Next I did the same thing for the nose. I am very happy with the way that this model ...

3D Character Animation: Storyboard Write Up
http://3dcharacteranimationmikeytpot.blogspot.com/2011/03/storyboard-write-up.html
Friday, 4 March 2011. After changing my idea from the penguin to the snowman, I decided to create a storyboard of how I want the animation to finish. In most cases the animation finishes up being lightly based on the original storyboard due to issues and problems that arrise throughout the creation process. 1 Snowman wakes up with head on that only has eyes. Sleepy eyes until he wakes up properly. 6 The penguin is skiing down the hill with no problems. He has his eyes closed and starts doing a few tr...

3D Character Animation: April 2011
http://3dcharacteranimationmikeytpot.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 20 April 2011. The main idea of the project is to really show off the ability to animate the character without the use of voice, voiceovers or speech bubbles. This means that the person watching the animation needs to be able to understand what feelings and emotions the character is trying to portray just from his facial expressions and actions. After conducting research into how humans react in different scenarios it was important I tried to re-create this with the Snowman. There are a ra...

3D Character Animation: February 2011
http://3dcharacteranimationmikeytpot.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 1 February 2011. A few examples of our target. I looked into a few examples of animated characters that do not need speech to show expressions. They are all animals but have characteristics and actions that make the viewer believe they could be human. This has made me decide that the character I create will definitely be an animal that has human characteristics. The Adventures of Morph. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A few examples of our target. Friday, 28 January 2011. I then created eyes that could be on a character who was looking around suspiciously at night time. A kind of mysterious set of eyes. Following Richards tutorials using the FFD box to allow eye movements. I started off by making my eyes blink. Initial Reaction to the Brief. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Initial Reaction to the Brief. 3D Character Animation: Edited Idea - Snowman
http://3dcharacteranimationmikeytpot.blogspot.com/2011/03/edited-idea-snowman.html
Friday, 4 March 2011. Edited Idea - Snowman. A snowman has very little manouverability because it is 3 blobs of snow with stick arms and no feet. This makes it impossible for the snowman to walk around and do most animations that normal characters could do. I thought that it would be interesting and a challenge to create an animation using a character with very little manouverability yet still be bale to show a great amound of feelings and emotions.
