wreaths of laurel: April 2013

Thursday, April 18, 2013. I really can't believe that my baby is due in less than 3 weeks. It's a little nerve-wracking, but exciting at the same time. I am. Ready to have my body back though. It's kind of annoying not being able to bend over or get in and out of the car easily. Funny how you take those things for granted. Anyway, this past Saturday was my baby shower! My great friend Samantha threw it for me. (She's the blonde to the right of me.) Props to her! It was a tremendous success! So when pract...

wreaths of laurel: June 2012

Monday, June 4, 2012. This year for Bryan's birthday we went to Chef's Table. We had some gift cards and a Groupon and so only payed $40 for a $130 meal. Now that's how you pay for dinner! The food was pretty good too. It's no Communal, but still, it's not your average restaurant. Overall, a wonderful experience. Will we be going back? Me and Bryan all dressed up. And I don't know why I always look tired in pictures. I blame the camera because I look great in person! And I love my lace shirt.).

wreaths of laurel: March 2013

Thursday, March 7, 2013. This past weekend Bryan and I went down to Vegas to once again play (I would say compete, but is it really competing when you automatically lose because you don't play on Sunday? In the Trouble in Vegas Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. We decided to go down a day early since driving 5 and a half hours both ways (especially with a pregnant wife) isn't that.relaxing. And since we were going, we might as well make a vacation of it! Looking down from the bridge. And you can see the a...

wreaths of laurel: Nursery
http://wreathesoflaurel.blogspot.com/2013/05/nursery.html
Friday, May 10, 2013. I even had my first Ebay purchase with the net canopy. I got it for $5.50 and that includes shipping! I can kinda see why people get addicted to bidding on that site. The anticipation is thrilling! The red rocking chair is still there, but I think it adds a nice pop of color. These ties were actually left over from my baby shower and I think they worked perfectly! So it is a little small, but then again, it is just a baby, right? Now I can't wait to actually put my baby in here.

wreaths of laurel: Revitalizing Vintage
http://wreathesoflaurel.blogspot.com/2015/04/revitalizing-vintage.html
Saturday, April 18, 2015. Before of the front. After our last attempt at redoing furniture (see red rocking chair in Everly's nursery pics) where we hand sanded the entire thing WITHOUT stripping it first, I decided to strip it and got a power sander to make that part easier too. It all saved so much time! I will never NOT use these tools again! One of the best parts was taking off all the layers of fabric on the bench. I got to travel through time and see some of the style from time gone by. I'm proud o...

Tuesday, February 26, 2013. I know that it is really late in the game to be posting Christmas, but I thought I might as well do it as not. I sadly can't even remember most of the details of the day other than Bryan and I made out like bandits. Still, it was great fun as always! Here are a few pics:. Dad was super excited about his gift. A BYU golf bag- and an uber nice one at that. Christmas omelets at Grandma and Grandpa Twitchell's. Always a crowd! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, January 2, 2013. 25 Days of Christmas, Part 3. I thought I should finish up the last days of Christmas. It's been a few days so I don't remember them all, but still, I think we did pretty good considering. Day 11 - I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day. Day 12 - Christmas Lights. Day 13 - Cable. Day 14 - Aaron's Birthday. On Friday we made the trek up to Bountiful to Melanie's house for Aaron's second birthday. Too bad there was a crazy amount of traffic due to 2 wrecks and we got there super...
