Sunday, August 24, 2008. Okay, we didn't fish but we did survive our first pseudo camping experience! We went to Wellington Lake which ironically Mark and I have been to before! Luckily our tent withstood the elements! Sleeping was a challenge but I did get a few winks. We hiked and enjoyed the scenery! The UCCS 14ers Club. Get together with other college-aged folks and "reach for the sky! Sunday, December 18, 2005. Date: Thu, Dec 15. Hike: Quandry Peak - 14,265 feet. Route: East Slopes Route from Monte Cristo Trailhead. TR 10,900 feet. GPS was not working well, as it was too cold! The guide book said 3.5 miles up, and that is probably what we did. We were able to stick to the trail pretty good on the way up. Leave Saturday at 4am (Yes! Summit by noon. (11:40am). The water bottle insulator worked great!
